Old School RuneScape features a world where players can interact with each other and the environment. After its launch, the OSRS has received many updates and patches. The demand for the game has reached an all-time high, with players putting up their osrs accounts for sale and gaining profits. Recently, the developers rolled out the Slayer Partners update. This guide will discuss the various features added in this update.
OSRS, an MMORPG, was developed by Jagex on 16th February 2013. The game is inspired by the original RuneScape. However, OSRS has engine improvements, better mechanics, and more content. In addition, the game was also launched for Android and iOS. Eventually, this has improved the reach of the game throughout the community. Also, the newer updates contribute to its popularity.
OSRS Slayer Partners Update
Slayer Partners was a feature of RuneScape that allowed users to pair with another player and complete tasks. However, due to many reports, the feature was disabled. Fortunately, the developers have decided to bring the feature back. Players can use the Slayer Partners feature with the new update released in August 2024. So the players can yet again pair up with their mates and enjoy the Old School RuneScape gameplay.
How to use the feature?
- Firstly, find yourself a Slayer Partner.
- After that, Click on the ‘Partner’ option on the Slayer Helmet or Enchanted Gem.
- Next, Select ‘New Partner’.
- Now, type your partner’s name and send an invite.
Once done, the Slayer partnership will be activated and the team is eligible to complete tasks given by OSRS Slayer Masters.
While receiving a task
Luckily, the developers have addressed the issues in the previous versions. Hence, they have ensured that in the present versions, players get tasks that both players can complete. So, if your partner has progressed more using osrs gold, you can still play together. Below we have listed the changes in this version.
- Only the block list of the player obtaining the task will be considered.
- A player is not required to have a higher Slayer OSRS level than the other.
- The minimum limit of total combined tasks by Slayer Partners has changed to 15 from 10.
- Players cannot partner up again until the previously assigned is completed.
- Players can put the task on hold or wrap it up later, as the game remembers the partners even if a player logs out. However, the partnership is void, if either of the partners takes up a new task while the other is offline.
- Players can cancel the task anytime, but both partners must cancel to take up another task.
While completing a task
- Players will get the Slayer Kill Count credit as long as they are within 30 tiles from each other.
- To consider the task complete, each player must have killed 20% of the required monsters. However, this criterion is not applicable during boss Slayer OSRS Tasks.
- Task Streak bonuses apply separately.
- Points are distributed based on the percentage of tasks each player has completed. So if the number of monsters killed equals the number of points distributed, the 60 and 40 kills will give 9 and 6 points, respectively.
- Lastly, Slayer Partners can take up another task or go their separate ways after completing it.
